A sailor on watch thrills to the sound of eight bells chiming, signaling the end of his shift. These massive, solid brass ship's bells are straight off Soviet naval vessels. Vintage '60s and resonating with character, earned from years of active duty. Iron clapper produces deep, rich tones. Great for your yacht or for home display. About 8" tall, 16 lbs. A rare find!

These old-fashioned copper "hard-hat" diving helmets were originally constructed for Russian Navy Special Forces, who required protection from the extraordinary pressure (up to 7 atmospheres) incurred on extreme-depth dives of 200'. We rescued a few from a Navy surplus warehouse in St. Petersburg. Most are in perfect/unissued condition and arrived coated in the original cosmoline grease, which protects the metal from tarnishing. We have hand-polished them and, in time, they'll develop a beautiful patina. Front and dual side windows with rubber gaskets and brass frames. Approximately 19"e; high and 44"e; in circumference. Weighs a massive 32 lbs. Three 1"e; diameter bolts connect the helmet to the 58"e; circumference neck/shoulder mounting platform. Quantities extremely limited.

These compasses, straight off Soviet warships, are made of solid brass. Each 20-40 years old, fully reconditioned, polished to a gleam. Liquid-filled, gimbal-mounted in original (reconditioned) dovetail, stained and lacquered case. Complete with Cyrillic markings and Russian mariner's "e;O"e; ("e;Ost"e;) in place of "e;E"e;. Some with brass bearing/azimuth circle, Pelorus (shown) - others with viewing/magnifying glass attachment to allow the captain to read compass rose from several feet away (not pictured). These genuine ushankas, made from mouton (the softest, warmest and highest quality lamb's wool) are identical to those worn by Soviet submarine Captain Marco Ramius (Sean Connery) and his senior officers in The Hunt for Red October. Brand new, straight from the factory in Vilnius, Lithuania (Ramius's hometown), which supplied fine furs to high-ranking Soviet officers and Politburo members for 70+ years. Quilted lining. Pull down ear flaps or tie them on top of hat. Complete with rare Soviet naval officer's insignia.
